Athletes understand that the body is a tool that will go to rust if not taken care of. They endeavor to push the limits of their bodies and become better fighters for it.
Many Athletes tend to not only get plenty of exercise, but often tend to eat healthy and be aware of fitness concepts. Others come into the practice through an occupation – dedicated hikers, sport coaches, or even Rangers. Dedicated Martial Artists come easily into the Athlete lifestyle.

Effect: After an hour of exercise, an Athlete may choose two different Stats besides HP; both of those stats become Trained Stats. The default State of Trained Stats is +1 Combat Stages instead of 0. An Athlete may have two Trained Stats at a time.

Trigger: You are lowered to half or your Maximum Hit Points or less
Effect: You gain +1 Combat Stage in each of your Trained Stats, are cured of up to two Status Afflictions, and gain a Tick of Temporary Hit Points. Adrenaline Rush may be used only once per Scene.

Effect: Whenever you perform your hour of exercise from the Athlete feat you choose a Physical Dedication from the below list, selecting one for which you have the associated Edge. You gain the bonus from that Dedication, the Move and Advanced Maneuver associated with it. You may only be Trained in one Dedication at a time and will lose these bonuses at the end of the next Extended Rest.

Effect: You gain +4 to Initiative, and add Rock Climb as an Athlete Move to your list of Moves. You receive the Empower Ability.
Prerequisite: Mounted Prowess
Effect: When you Shift using a Bicycle, your Overland Speed is increased by +2 your Long Jump and High Jump by +1, and you add Barreling Charge to your list of Moves. You gain a +10 Bonus to Damage with Athlete Moves while on a Bicycle or another Mount.

Effect: As a Swift Action, the user may relocate itself to any open square in Barreling Charge’s area of effect (not provoking any Attacks of Opportunity). If the user Shifted before using this Move, its DB increases to 11.
Prerequisite: Power Boost
Effect: Increase your Power Capability by +1 and add Wring Out as an Athlete Move to your list of Moves. You gain a +2 bonus to checks related to Grappling. If you have Dominance while Grappling and choose to end the Grapple, you may Push the other person as a Swift Action (this maneuver is considered related to Grappling). If you succeed in Pushing the target, they are Pushed 1 additional meter and are Tripped.
Prerequisite: Stamina
Effect: You gain +2 to Save Checks and add Refresh as an Athlete Move to your list of Moves. Whenever you regain Hit Points, you receive Temporary Hit Points equal to your Athletics Rank, and whenever you gain Temporary Hit Points, that amount is increased by an amount equal to your Athletics Rank.
Prerequisite: Swimmer
Effect: Increase your Swim Speed by +1 and add Dive as an Athlete Move to your list of Moves. While Swimming, you gain +2 Evasion, +3 to Opposed Combat Maneuver Checks, and, against Water Type attacks, 5 Damage Reduction.
